Questions and comments from remote participants via Zoom are encouraged. A link for remote access will be circulated to registrants in the days leading up to the meeting.

Registration (free) for in-person or remote attendance is found at this link.
Please register before Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Short-term metered parking is available on Oxford St., Kirkland St., and several other nearby streets (such as Massachusetts Avenue). Additionally, paid parking lots are available in Harvard Square. Street parking meters are in effect until 8pm. For more details on parking lots and metered parking, including one-day permits for nearby Harvard lots, see this page (on public lots) and this page (on permits). Accessible parking is located in front of the Music Building in Harvard’s Littauer Lot, and additional information on accessible parking can be found here.

The closest T stop is Harvard Square on the MBTA’s Red line. Several bus routes stop nearby as well. Given the ongoing interruptions, closures, and maintenance of subway lines and stations, it is strongly recommended to consult the MBTA site for the latest public transport conditions.

All of the AMS-NE spaces reserved for use in the Music Building are accessible to people with disabilities. All service animals are allowed and welcome. The chairs in the spaces are simple to move around, so people using mobility aids such as a wheelchair may sit wherever they desire at events. There are wheelchair accessible and gender-inclusive restrooms in the Music Building. There is a quiet classroom and a lounge space to retreat to in the Music Building if an individual needs to step out to take a break. Persons with disabilities who would like to request accommodations or have questions about physical or remote access may contact us via the AMS-NE email account or via the registration form in advance of the meeting.

Public Health protocols: according to Harvard University’s current policies concerning COVID-19, “masking is optional except in health care settings and where otherwise required for non-COVID reasons (e.g., some laboratories)…. Even when optional, we strongly encourage indoor mask use, especially if local COVID-19 risks are medium or high.” The AMS-NE Chapter also strongly encourages masking for those participating in the Fall 2022 meeting in person. All persons attending the AMS-NE meeting are welcome to continue wearing a mask of any type for their own protection, or to protect someone else, if they choose to do so. Nobody should be made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or marginalized because they choose to wear a mask. We will also continue to monitor public health conditions as the meeting date approaches.
