{"id":1355,"date":"2023-04-10T20:46:06","date_gmt":"2023-04-10T20:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newengland.ams-net.org\/?p=1355"},"modified":"2023-04-10T20:46:45","modified_gmt":"2023-04-10T20:46:45","slug":"2023-ams-ne-chapter-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newengland.ams-net.org\/?p=1355","title":{"rendered":"2023 AMS-NE Chapter Elections"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The Chapter&#8217;s virtual business meeting on 4\/26\/23\u00a0 will finalize the ballot for three Chapter positions, which have terms coming to an end\u00a0on July 31 or sooner:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>(1) the Chapter Secretary-Treasurer position\u00a0<\/strong>(term starting when elections results are announced),<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>(2) the Chapter&#8217;s AMS Council Representative<\/strong>\u00a0(term starting on August 1, 2023),<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>and (3) one of our Chapter&#8217;s two Student Representatives to the AMS Council\u00a0<\/strong>(term starting on August 1, 2023).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">After the Zoom business meeting on 4\/26,\u00a0<strong>an online ballot<\/strong>\u00a0will be circulated to Chapter members, who will have\u00a0<strong>10 days to submit their ballot.<\/strong>\u00a0In order to vote in this election or on any\u00a0by-law changes, our by-laws do require that Chapter members be in good standing (with dues paid).
