The announcement notes that Latour&#8217;s book, <em>The Voice of Virtu<\/em>e<em>: Moral Song and the Practice of French Stoicism<\/em>,<em> 1574 &#8211; 1652<\/em> (Oxford University Press), is a &#8220;&#8230;learned and inventive product of a historian\u2019s and musicologist\u2019s workshop [that] will fascinate those readers who spend time with it.
